November 2022
Thanksgiving season is here. What are you thankful for? Have you ever thought about being thankful for unusual items?
Do you have an unusual item that you treasure?
When I was in first grade, I received a small lapel pin from my first grade teacher for perfect attendance. The pin is gold and blue with a clock on it that says perfect attendance. I was so excited to receive it and wear it on my shirt. The teacher also included a silver dollar as a reward. That small recognition at a young age of six had an impact on me and still holds a special place in my heart.
Happy Thanksgiving!

A scoop of vanilla ice cream sends this over the top.
The zoo is a great place to visit during the cooler months of the year.
My daughter, grandson and I went to the Smithsonian’s National Zoo, in Washington DC in early November. The panda and red panda intrigued me on this visit. They were both putting on a show.
My favorite animal is the blue whale. The main reason I am in awe of the blue whale is the magnitude of its size and how free it is swimming in the ocean.
What is your favorite animal and why?
Look out for Joy!
